A Targeted Approach
Indy Cares helps to provide and connect pet owners with resources that include medical vouchers, short term foster care, re-homing assistance, among other things.
Please consider alternative options for your companion animal before surrendering them to a shelter. By seeking alternatives to surrender, you will be given the chance to keep your pet while utilizing community resources, education, and support for responsible pet ownership.
Mission – To empower Indianapolis pet owners to responsibly care for their companion animals by connecting individuals with community resources, education, and support.
Who We Serve – We believe all Indianapolis residents deserve to experience pet ownership and it is our mission to preserve the human-animal bond by keeping pets in their home and out of the shelter.
Vision – To lower the number of animals surrendered to the shelter by offering alternatives.
